Grace is a PhD candidate in the Department of Public Administration and Health Services Management at the University of Ghana. She read pharmacy in the University of Ghana and graduated with a first-class honours degree. Following a teaching assistantship with UG School of Pharmacy, she wrote and passed the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examinations (GPPQE) and hence qualified to be a pharmacist. Grace also holds an Mphil in Health Services Management and won the New Crystal Health Services prize for the best graduating student in Mphil Health Services Management. She is a member of the pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) and International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). As a young researcher, Grace has 3 papers to her credit which are published in reputed international journals. Her research focuses on understanding health policy issues with special interests in strengthening the pharmaceutical sector. Her research interests include in adolescent and reproductive health, patient safety, health policy and global health. She has also served in the capacity as a reviewer for the International Journal of Health Policy and Management.
At the professional level, Grace has over 5 years’ experience as a pharmacist in the community pharmacy sector. She has consulted widely as an external clinician to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in conducting clinical and compliance audits. She is also a member of a team appointed by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana to carry out research on some special areas.
