Skills & Enterprise Development

The skills and Enterprise Development programme is an aspect of AiKEN institutes Capacity building initiative targeted at young graduates. This programme aims at helping young and fresh graduates from our Universities to gain relevant practical working experience in addition to improving their problem solving and critical thinking ability.

Specifically, the programme pairs Ghanaian and foreign students (from some of the world’s most prestigious Universities) and match them to a challenge identified by a Small to medium Size Enterprice (SME’s). The students can then take advantage of their academic knowledge from school, diversity in culture, work ethic and capabilities to evolve a solution to the challenge presented to them. In this way, participants in the programme will learn and acquire the experience and skill necessary for working for themselves or other organisations, whiles the SMEs involved can also get their challenges resolved at virtually no cost. This constitutes “a win win” solution to both students and SME’s
